Cooperative Learning

Learning model, most have seen a strategic role in efforts to boost the success of the learning process. Since he moved to see the condition of the needs of students, so teachers are expected to submit items to the right without cause students to experience boredom. Instead, students are expected to be interested and keep interested in taking lessons, with a sustained curiosity.

Various models of learning that have been developed intensively through various studies, the aim is to enhance academic cooperation between students, forming positive relationships, develop self-confidence, and improve academic skills through individual activity maupuh group.

There is a learning model most conventional, ie face to face and centered on the teacher (teacher center) to student-centered learning (student center), distance learning (distance learning) is applied to the open university and online certification programs are also continuously developed. Journal Teknodik.22, 2007

There is also a cooperative learning containing with positive interdependence among students to achieve learning objectives. Each student have the same opportunity for success. Student-centered learning activities in the form of discussions, working on tasks together, helping each other and support each other in solving problems.Through effective learning interaction students more motivated, confident, able to use higher level thinking strategies, and able to build interpersonal relationships.Cooperative learning model allows all students to master the material at relatively equal levels of mastery or parallel.

There are 4 kinds of cooperative learning model proposed by Arends (2001), namely: (1) Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD), (2) Group Investigation, (3) Jigsaw, and (4) Structural Approach. Meanwhile, two other approaches that are designed to lower classes are: (1) Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (Circ) is used in learning to read and write at levels 2-8 (kindergarten to primary school level), and Team Accelerated Instruction (TAI) is used on learning mathematics for levels 3-6 (kindergarten level).
